Job Summary
Monitor Chinook Winds facility, property, and money handling areas to protect customers, staff, and assets during assigned shifts. Detect, prevent, and suppress crime by investigating suspicious circumstances, apprehending offenders, and filing detailed reports on criminal and non-criminal incidents. Deliver fills and credits from the Cage to gaming stations, escort chips and cash, and sort VLT boxes using handheld scanners and battery-powered carts. Escort staff for drug tests, check IDs for underage guests, maintain access controls to restricted areas, and assist with vehicle jumpstarts and tire changes. Respond to guest and employee complaints, locate lost property, and perform First Aid, CPR, and AED use as required. Work in a busy gaming environment with moderate to loud noise levels, requiring flexibility for overtime, holidays, and extended shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License, or ability to obtain Valid Oregon Driver's License within 90 days of hire
- CPR Certified within 1 month of employment
- Siletz Tribal Gaming License
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience working in a team environment
- Must be able to work in a crowded environment
- Must be able to work overtime, including extended shifts, additional days, holidays and special events
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must complete a 180-day introductory period
- Must be able to physically subdue, restrain and remove customers or employees
- Must be able to perform First Aid, CPR and use the AED
- Must be able to remove and reinstall cash boxes and use handheld scanners for up to 8 hours per shift
- Must be able to sort and separate VLT boxes according to type
- Must be able to operate a battery powered casino cart used to transport carts containing VLT boxes
- Must be able to maintain and control access to restricted areas
- Must be able to check ID's for possible underage guests
- Must be able to stand constantly
- Must be able to walk frequently
- Must be able to sit frequently
- Must be able to handle/finger constantly
- Must be able to reach outward constantly
- Must be able to reach above shoulder occasionally

Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of customer service experience preferred
- 6 months gaming security, security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
- Microsoft Office beginner level including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities and schedules
- Excellent time management skills
