Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned government sites in Costa Mesa, CA, maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents and support site personnel. Respond to alarms and routine concerns by notifying appropriate staff and documenting events accurately. Verify credentials at access points, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts. Conduct regular patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to identify potential concerns. Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while completing required daily activity logs and shift communications. Work swing shifts from 1 PM to 9:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of security-related experience
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
- Experience using alarm panels is preferred
