Job Summary

Oversee security throughout the casino, ensuring guests and employees are secure and protected at all times while monitoring alarm panels, controlling access to sensitive areas, and responding to guest inquiries. Maintain a presence on the gaming floor, write reports, maintain daily logs, conduct investigations, and provide First Aid and medical attention as required. Comply with provincial gaming regulations and applicable laws while protecting the company from theft and fraud. This role requires a minimum of six months security experience, current First Aid/CPR certification, and Category 2 Gaming Assistant registration. Candidates must possess strong customer service skills, analytical abilities, and the capacity to physically restrain individuals. Flexible hours, evenings, and weekends are available. Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a security role
  • Proven, high level of customer service
  • Detail-orientated and organized nature
  • Solid analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
  • Sensitive in dealing with people and proactive in providing solutions
  • Good judgment and understanding of casino operations
  • Experience with computers and surveillance equipment

  • Completion of Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training/exam prior to start (employer will sponsor) OR valid BC Security License and completion of Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training/exam within 90 days of start in B.C.
  • ProTect and Deal Us Security Staff Training program completion within 30 days of start in Alberta
  • Completion of Serving It Right (BC)/ Proserve (Alberta)/ Smart Serve (Ontario) certificate prior to start date
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Capacity to physically restrain and secure individuals using prescribed techniques
  • Social perceptiveness and good vision to identify people
