Job Summary
Security Officer role overseeing casino security on the gaming floor, ensuring guest and employee safety, controlling access to sensitive areas, monitoring alarm panels, writing reports, providing First Aid/CPR, and conducting investigations in compliance with provincial gaming regulations. Offers full-time benefits in applicable locations with flexible hours including evenings and weekends; requires certifications and regulatory training (GSO, Serving It Right/Proserve/Smart Serve as applicable) and potential licensing with provincial gaming authorities. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months experience in a security role
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
- ProServe/Smart Serve/Serving It Right certificates where applicable
- Completion of Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training/exam prior to start (employer will sponsor) OR valid BC Security License and completion of GSO training/exam within 90 days of start in B.C.
- ProTect and Deal Us Security Staff Training program completion within 30 days of start in Alberta
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Capacity to physically restrain and secure individuals using prescribed techniques
- Social perceptiveness and good vision to identify people
- Experience with computers and surveillance equipment
