Job Summary

Control perimeter gates and manage vehicle access traffic at the BP Whiting refinery site while enforcing safety measures and responding to incidents. Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises, perform searches of people and vehicles, and monitor CCTV equipment as needed. Provide customer service to visitors and coworkers, operate gate barriers, and interview individuals to detect security infringements. Write daily and incident reports, maintain high standards for work areas, and comply with all established safety and operational procedures. Work rotational 12-hour shifts with a 1-week-on/1-week-off schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English
Valid driver's license
Compliance or ability to be compliant with any State and/or local laws and regulations governing those working as Unarmed Security Officers
Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background investigation, drug screen, and a post-offer physical
Must be able to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner
Must comply with established dress code/uniform requirements
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
