Job Summary
Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the facility by verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations. Monitor entry points and visitor activity to identify unauthorized access attempts, prohibited items, or unusual activity, then report concerns to site leadership. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following site-specific escalation and reporting protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including access points and perimeter locations, to deter unauthorized activity. Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities at a technology data center. Perform duties during a rotating schedule from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of security-related experience
- A college degree
- A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license for driving positions only
