Job Summary
Provide security and emergency response services throughout the resort by conducting foot and mobile patrols, monitoring entrance gates, and enforcing safety guidelines. Investigate incidents, document findings through interviews and observation, and manage crisis situations with a calm demeanor. Escort individuals off property, provide entry gate security, and perform administrative duties such as issuing keys and vehicle decals. Answer phones, monitor security cameras, and dispatch officers as needed. Train team members on safety protocols and coordinate special assignments. Work any shifts including weekends and holidays, with potential recall for weather-related emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of the "Initial Security Guard 8-Hour Training"
- Must present a current Hawaii State Guard Card within 30 days of hire
- AED Certification
- Ability to multi-task
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be willing and able to work any and all shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in excess of 40 hours per week
- Must be available to be recalled or held over for weather related emergencies
- Ability to use the telephone and radio
- Ability to use various office equipment including but not limited: copier machine, network camera system, fire panel
- Ability to use AED
- Drive a vehicle
- Ability to operate a utility vehicle or cart
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Able to manage stressful and challenging situations
- Able to stand, walk, bend and reach during most of shift
- Lift and carry up to 25-50lbs
- Must have the ability to communicate verbally to employees, managers and guests/clients
- Interviewing skills
