Job Summary
Conduct daily patrols of public areas, entrances, and grounds while monitoring surveillance cameras for unauthorized persons or vehicles. Respond promptly to guest incidents, complaints, and requests, investigating loss and safety exposures involving theft, noise, or hazards. Maintain security logs, manage lost and found items, control keys, and ensure all guest room doors are secured. Assist with emergency procedures, coordinate towing, and perform preventative maintenance on security equipment. This role requires working nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting hourly rate is $18.00 in Houston, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of security and safety experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluent English
- Ability to carry, lift, push and/or pull items weighing up to 50-100 pounds
- Ability to frequently stand up and move about the facility
- Ability to frequently handle objects and equipment to secure the facility
- Ability to frequently bend, stooping, and kneeling
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Certification in safety and training
- Licensed as a Security Officer or Law Enforcement Officer
- Certified CPR, First Aid instructor
- Training in law enforcement techniques
- Working knowledge of local laws
- Working knowledge of investigation methods
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements
- Working knowledge of fire codes and life safety codes
- Problem solving abilities
