Security Officer - Full Time - Evenings- Einstein Philadelphia

Job Summary
Conduct security patrols at fixed posts or on campus/hospital grounds, checking for unauthorized persons, violations, and fire hazards. Respond promptly to calls for service, including emergencies, and diffuse situations using conflict resolution skills. Verify identification badges, escort unauthorized individuals, and assist employees, patients, and visitors with security escorts and parking issues. Investigate and document accidents, incidents, or suspicious activities while maintaining daily patrol logs. Enforce no-smoking policies, support safety teams with fire-related emergencies, and inspect deliveries for loss prevention. Provide directions and information as requested under supervision of the Lieutenant and Sergeant/Shift Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be able to understand all responsibilities and technology associated with the 24-hour Security Response Center (SRC)
- Must have completed all relevant Security Department training modules, and maintain all required training
- Must be capable of running one city block and physically subduing an unruly/violent individual
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work all shifts, and rotate between shifts as needed
- This is a highly visible uniform position. Officers must be able to present excellent appearance at all times
- Officers must be equipped with all required security instruments
- Lethal Weapons Certification - Pennsylvania State Police Within 90 Days
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs
- Push/pull up to 140 lbs
- Carry 80 lbs short distances
- Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Related advanced training in Criminal Justice
- 1 year Experience in campus/hospital security, law enforcement, or other related Criminal Justice agencies
