Job Summary
Security Officer Full-time responsible for gate and patrol duties at Brays Island Plantation. Enforce traffic controls for entering/exiting guests and contractors; answer inquiries professionally; maintain documentation of traffic/events; verify passes/decals; perform constant visible inspections of patrol areas and residences; respond to incidents (including alarms) and coordinate with emergency services; maintain radio communications with Gate Officer; deliver exceptional customer service to owners, guests, and partners; physical duties include lifting up to 100 lbs and working extended hours, including weekends/holidays; requires high school diploma or equivalent and SC driver’s license with ability to obtain S.L.E.D. license; strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills; familiarity with firearms, radios, first aid, and basic security operations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge: Prior knowledge of premise security operations preferred
- Skills: Must demonstrate highly effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and advance communication skills
- Experience: Must have valid South Carolina driver’s license; able to obtain S.L.E.D. license; able to use and automobile in adverse conditions; able to operate radar units, firearms, radios and other law enforcement related equipment; basic knowledge of first aid
