Job Summary
Conduct routine unarmed patrols of school buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter zones to identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations. Monitor entrances, exits, and access points while verifying visitor authorization and reporting unauthorized access or suspicious behavior. Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while responding to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Document all patrol activity, observations, and incidents through accurate written and/or electronic reports. Work a full-time day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Ashburn, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- CPR certification is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
- A guard card/license is preferred
