Job Summary
Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery vehicle entry and exit activity. Control access to restricted areas, communicate entry requirements, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with site procedures. Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, receiving and shipping areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required. Work a rotating night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred
