Job Summary
Maintain highly visible patrols to ensure a safe gaming environment while monitoring the casino floor for minors and enforcing safety rules. Respond to disturbances, emergencies, and alarms across the property, and handle all escorts of money and chip transactions in accordance with State Gaming Regulations. Support property promotions and events, perform table fills, credits, and game drops, and escort team members, visitors, and vendors into sensitive areas with prior approval. Provide exceptional red-carpet service to guests and assuring quality support to other departments. This full-time role requires a valid state-issued driver's license, the ability to handle stressful situations, and physical mobility to run on level or graded surfaces, including stairs. The officer must be able to lift up to 35 lbs., push, pull, and balance in varying work areas, including confined spaces.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Previous customer service experience
- Able to handle stressful situations dealing with the general public
- Ability to work in an environment, which may be noisy
- Employing tact when dealing with difficult team members, guests or situations
- Ability to identify and quickly respond to potential problems, conflicts and to defend oneself and others in combative situations
- Run on level or graded surfaces, as well as up and down stairs
- Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas, including walking and standing for long periods of time
- Must possess a valid state issued driver's license
- Ability to multi-task as required, officers cover a wide variety of different posts and work with all departments
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry and lift to 35lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job related duties in varying work areas, such as confined spaces
- Employee could be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second-hand tobacco smoke
