Job Summary
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access concerns, disturbances, and medical or facility-related events. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of educational buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts. Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with leadership regarding incidents and daily activities. This part-time role offers a six-month fixed-shift commitment with an option to claim additional shifts via our scheduling platform. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma, and pass a background investigation and drug screen.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
