Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watch for irregular conditions, and sound alarms or call police for unauthorized persons or fire hazards. Warn violators of rule infractions, permit authorized entry, and monitor entrances and exits to protect against theft. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, maintain written logs, and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner. Work 30–40 hours per week with irregular shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, with little to no advance notice. Requires valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and background investigation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
- Must be willing to travel required distances.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
