Job Summary
Conduct routine random patrols of CRISTA property, respond to and investigate security incidents, and report safety hazards observed during assigned shifts. Document all actions and observations per established procedures, maintain confidentiality of resident information, and provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. Produce keys from cut codes, program access cards and photo IDs, monitor essential equipment, and log temperature readings. Transport trash, vacuum public areas, and support after-hours activities while responding rapidly to emergency situations. Work varying shifts including days, swing, and overnight rotations to accommodate operational needs.

- Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC)
- Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader
- High school diploma or equivalent or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of security experience or equivalent in field
- CPR/1st Aid/AED certification (may obtain within 30 days of employment)
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook
- Previous security access control system experience
- Ability to respond to schedule requests within two hours to maintain Flex Security Officer status
- Must be willing to work varying schedules, including: Days, swing, and overnight shifts
- Weekends and holidays
- Short-notice and emergency coverage assignments
- Ability to interact with people of various cultures and diverse backgrounds
- Able to communicate with seniors in a positive, courteous, confidential, and professional manner
- Able to work effectively in fast-paced environment
- Good judgment in responding to routine, urgent and emergency situations
- Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary's List of Crimes and Negative Actions (WAC 388-113)
- Must be physically able to work, stand, walk, and climb stairs for entire shift
- Must have excellent hearing and eyesight
- Ability to read and comprehend key cut codes and from them, produce copies of keys upon request
- Able to use CRISTA access control system to program and produce standard photo ID and access cards when requested
- Maintain appearance standards as established by supervisor
- Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous security, law enforcement, and/or military experience
- Strong technical understanding of existing security systems including access control, CCTV, and key control, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook
