Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watch for irregular conditions, and sound alarms or call police/fire for unauthorized persons or fires. Warn violators of rule infractions, permit authorized entry, and monitor entrances and exits to protect against theft. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and maintain written logs. Aid customers and visitors professionally, make emergency notifications per site orders, and operate radio or telephone equipment. Work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice using the shift-pickup platform. Requires high school diploma, valid driver's license, Guard card, and background investigation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- Minimum of 2 years of security experience
- Guard card
- Comfortable using computer or tablet
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
- Teamwork
- Attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
