Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watch for irregular conditions, and sound alarms for unauthorized persons or fires. Warn violators of rule infractions, permit authorized entry, and monitor exits to protect against theft. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, maintain logs, and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Aid customers and visitors in a courteous manner while mediating conflicts with tact. This part-time role offers flexible shift-pickup access across healthcare, education, and finance industries. Candidates must be 21 or older with at least one year of security experience and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 Years of Age or Older
- Must have at least 1 year of Security Experience
- Must be able to work outdoors in the elements
- Must be able to stand and walk for Long Periods of time
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Be at least 21 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
