Job Summary
Provide on-site security for a Juneteenth event in Oakland, including patrols of multi-level areas, incident response, and accurate reporting. Maintain situational awareness, de-escalate potential conflicts, and communicate effectively with the public and clients. Must hold a California Guard Card, be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., have reliable transportation, and demonstrate strong English proficiency and professional demeanor. Training and opportunities for advancement are provided; overtime available; benefits for full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- California Guard Card License
- Valid Driver's License (and clean driving record where applicable)
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- At least 1 year of security, mobile patrol, or event staff experience
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Proficiency with basic computer/smartphone usage
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform patrols
- Capable of handling emergencies and incident reporting
