Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including entrances, common areas, and exterior perimeters, to deter security incidents and identify unusual activity. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and medical emergencies by notifying site personnel and emergency responders as directed by policy. Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities at a government-operated homeless services location. Prepare clear, accurate shift documentation regarding incidents, patrols, and observations. Maintain a visible presence to verify authorized entry and treat all individuals with professionalism and respect.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- At least one year of security-related experience
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Valid driver's license
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
