Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including entrances, common areas, and exterior perimeters, while maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency responders as directed. Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies at a government-operated homeless services location. Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation regarding incidents, patrols, and observations. Work part-time shifts from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Wednesday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- At least one year of security-related experience
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Valid driver's license
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
