Job Summary
Check identification for authorized personnel entering the Downstream Casino Resort construction site and ensure the safety of customers and employees on the premises. Continually observe and patrol casino premises, corridors, bar areas, office areas, and parking lots while responding to critical situations such as medical emergencies or irate patrons. Generate daily and weekly reports as assigned by the supervisor and report any violations or situations detrimental to the resort's best interests. Assist patrons and employees, maintain strict confidentiality regarding internal security functions, and support internal or external investigations conducted by the resort or local authorities. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons while adhering to 24-hour schedules, regulatory policies, and attendance guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Good observation skills
- Ability to work in an intense and construction environment
- Ability to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Well-groomed and professional appearance
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to respond to visual and oral cues
- Ability to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Favorable outcome of a background investigation
- Favorable outcome of a drug screening
- Physical ability to work with extreme weather
- Ability to lift 80 lbs.
- Ability to squat, stand or bend repeatedly
- Ability to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment
- Ability to effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations
