Job Summary
Conduct hourly foot patrols of interior and exterior sites to check entrances, doors, windows, and vents for security breaches. Guard posts in building lobbies or reception areas while monitoring surroundings on closed-circuit television. Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas and verify employee and vendor identifications. Look for suspicious persons, packages, and activities, and provide first aid or operate x-ray and metal detection equipment where deployed. Report potentially hazardous conditions and document daily activities and incident reports. Maintain excellent customer service when dealing with clients, customers, and co-workers.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED
- Must be able to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana)
- Must not have been convicted of any felonies
- Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol related offenses
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time
- Must be able to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary)
- Must be able to hear conversations in loud environments either in-person or via radio
- Must be able to use a smart mobile phone or computer to check emails and complete online training
- Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be professional and possess excellent customer service skills
- Must have excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude
- Must complete required trainings on time and adhere to all client and company policies
