Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watching for irregular conditions that create safety hazards. Sound alarms or call police/fire for unauthorized persons or fires, warn violators of rule infractions like loitering, and permit authorized entry while monitoring exits. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, maintain logs, and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Aid customers and visitors courteously, observe departing personnel to prevent theft, and adapt to irregular shifts with little advance notice. Use the exclusive shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts based on availability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- At least 18 years of age
- 21 years of age if armed
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
