Job Summary
Manage entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain accurate access-related logs at a government corrections location. Monitor activity, respond to incidents and critical situations following established reporting procedures, and conduct regular patrols of assigned entry points and perimeter locations. Provide professional customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while ensuring orderly operations. Work a rotating day shift from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Sunday. An armed guard card is preferred, and applicants must pass a background investigation and drug screen.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
