Job Summary
Security Officer at City Museum responsible for controlling access to the property, screening guests and employees, enforcing museum policies at entry points, patrolling the premises to ensure security, and executing opening/closing procedures. Duties include responding to service calls, escorting individuals off property when needed, maintaining a safe, clean, professional environment, and completing incident reports. Requires ability to communicate effectively in English, availability to work overtime and on weekends/holidays, and possession or ability to obtain a Metropolitan Security license. EMT license is a plus; knowledge of weapons-detection systems is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have or have ability to obtain a Metropolitan Security license
- EMT license a plus
- Law enforcement training or criminal justice classes preferred
- A minimum of two years’ previous security experience is preferred
- Possess good oral and written English skills
- Available to work overtime
- Available to work weekends and holidays
