Job Summary
Security Officer position at a critical infrastructure facility in Nederland, CO. Responsibilities include controlling vehicle access at entry points, verifying authorization for visitors/contractors/vendors, assisting gate personnel with traffic flow, providing directions to authorized visitors, monitoring site access and vehicle movement, inspecting access points, identifying safety risks, maintaining a visible professional presence, and documenting incidents and reporting as required. Requires outdoor work, ability to operate a vehicle in adverse weather, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to pass background screening. Full-time weekday schedule 7am–4pm with outdoor/environmental conditions considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License required
- Reliable personal vehicle required
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle in adverse weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance
- Ability to pass required background screening
- Licensing Requirement: Must possess a current Security Guard License (SGL) or be willing and able to obtain one before assignment
- Must meet all site-specific training and compliance requirements
