Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle while watching for irregular conditions or safety hazards. Sound alarms or contact police/fire for unauthorized persons, warn violators of rule infractions, and permit authorized entry while monitoring exits. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and maintain required logs. Aid customers and employees courteously and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice at a rate of $19.50 per hour in Pasadena, California.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Background investigation
- Drug screen
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
- Teamwork
- Attention to detail
