Job Summary
Screen individuals, property, and authorized items entering the location by verifying identification, maintaining entry records, and directing visitors according to site-specific protocols. Provide customer service while executing security procedures, emergency response activities, and incident reporting through designated channels. Respond to critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and complete required documentation for policy violations. Maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents while delivering respectful service in a controlled correctional environment. Work part-time shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
