Job Summary
Patrol the university campus by foot, golf cart, or patrol unit, monitoring walkways, parking lots, and buildings. Respond to reports of incidents, operate security equipment, and enforce campus rules including parking, smoking, and alcohol regulations. Direct traffic, provide crowd control for special events, and act as a liaison between the university and local law enforcement. Perform custodial duties, provide directions, and maintain records. Full-time 40-hour schedule with weekend and night rotations; on-site role at the Historic Gainesville Campus requiring daily driving. Valid Georgia driver's license and clean driving record mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the United States on or before the confirmed start date
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Georgia driver's license
- Clean driving record (MVR check required)
- At least 21 years of age
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
- Must maintain a favorable criminal history
- Ability to operate and drive a motor vehicle
- Ability to work in inclement and extreme weather conditions
- Ability to walk extensively
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to carry heavy weighted materials up to 30 lbs frequently
