Job Summary
As a Security Officer for Page Hospital, patrol facilities and grounds, respond to emergency codes, monitor alarms, assist with the welfare and safety of personnel and patients, and provide security for patients and visitors. You will inspect and secure doors, enforce parking regulations and traffic control, log and deliver sensitive materials, escort individuals as needed, participate in security lead training, and maintain familiarity with applicable laws. The role operates on a 3 12-hour shift pattern with a half-day on Wednesday and a 6AM-6PM schedule Thursday-Saturday, and is a full-time daytime position. The officer may be assigned to work at any Banner Health facility as needed and will be expected to communicate effectively, document incidents, and support a safe healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must possess the ability to make accurate observations and exercise good independent judgment in a variety of situations (including emergencies)
- Must demonstrate the ability to write comprehensive security reports
- Must successfully complete all required security departmental training, including department specific annual training and mandatory training as assigned
- Must successfully complete Banner Health Basic Officer Academy
- FingerPrint Clearance Card at the time of hire
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Possess strong verbal communications skills
- Must qualify and maintain proficiency with assigned non-lethal weapons
- Must be able to demonstrate the physical requirements of the position
- Ability to maintain required security certifications
