Job Summary
Security Officer responsible for patrolling facilities and grounds, assisting with the welfare and safety of personnel and patients, investigating incidents, and enforcing security policies. Duties include responding to emergency codes, conducting interviews and searches, monitoring alarms and access control, transporting deliveries, preparing written security reports, and potentially testifying in court. Requires physical capability, good judgment, strong verbal communication, completion of Banner Health Basic Officer Academy, and possession of a Fingerprint Clearance Card and a valid driver’s license. Shift is full-time night hours (1800-0600; 1800- Midnight on Thursdays) with duties across hospital facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain required security certifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to write comprehensive security reports
- Must successfully complete Banner Health Basic Officer Academy
- Must demonstrate ability to meet physical requirements through testing
- Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire and maintain for duration of employment
