Security Officer

Security Officer for Banner Payson Medical Center patrols facilities and grounds, responds to emergency codes, assists in ensuring patient and visitor safety, conducts patrols and alarms monitoring, and provides security leadership as needed. Responsibilities include assisting medical staff with security matters, restraining and handling troubled/combative patients, conducting interviews and searches, enforcing parking regulations and traffic control, maintaining security logs and reports, testifying in legal proceedings when required, and participating in staff security training. The role requires strong verbal communication, ability to write comprehensive security reports, knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, proficiency with non-lethal weapons, ability to meet physical requirements, and possession/maintenance of required security certifications and a valid driver’s license. The position may require travel to various locations and involves shift-work with night differential on certain schedules.
