Job Summary
Security Officer position at Omaha Public Schools under a 10-month, full-time schedule. Responsibilities include patrolling hallways and facilities, controlling traffic during arrivals/dismissals, supervising students during meals and transitions, removing disruptive students when needed, notifying authorities in emergencies, assisting with crises and evacuations, guiding visitors, detecting and reporting unauthorized persons or activities, escorting disruptive individuals, modeling professional behavior, and participating in in-service training. Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have security experience or related education, familiarity with standard security procedures in a school context, and basic computer skills. 40 hours per week, 196 days per year; hourly wage starts at $22.39.

- Possess knowledge of standard security procedures and best practices in school security
