Job Summary
Conduct patrols, monitor access control, and provide customer assistance to uphold safety and security at hospital sites. Serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities and supervise at-risk patients within the hospital environment. Perform other job-related duties as assigned while maintaining compliance with Tarian policies and client expectations. Work hours vary depending on assignments, client schedules, and project deadlines, potentially extending beyond 40 hours and covering any day of the week. This role supports Tarian's mission to provide trusted security services across North America.
Required Qualifications
- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
- Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
- Must be able to move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to help restrain or lift a person
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a weapon
- Ability to pass the initial and semi-annual Tarian approved firearms training course to demonstrate proficiency in use of firearm
- Ability to participate and meet the requirements of additional firearms training at the discretion of the firearms instructor
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Tarian policies
- Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a Taser position and annually thereafter
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a Taser
- Ability to participate in and pass additional Taser training at the discretion of the Taser instructor and/or Tarian
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Tarian's Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), Tarian's Taser Policy
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have color vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to engage in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation
- Must be able to perform under pressure
