Job Summary
Screen individuals and belongings, monitor access points, and verify credentials at government locations while maintaining orderly entry. Provide customer service to visitors and staff, respond to screening alarms and critical incidents, and escalate prohibited items or unusual activity per post instructions. Complete required reports and logs related to screening activities, incidents, and equipment status. This part-time role in Miami, FL, includes day shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and requires an Armed Guard Card, law enforcement or military training, and relevant licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License
- Possess a college degree
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a Corrections Officer License
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
