Job Summary
Enforce all company safety and security rules, regulations, and policies on company property while conducting routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations. Investigate assigned accidents and incidents, reporting all occurrences in a timely manner, and perform opening/lockdown procedures for buildings as approved by Administration. Participate in emergency response and preparedness drills, maintaining knowledge of federal, state, and local laws to ensure compliance. Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communicating clearly during interactions. Maintain required annual certifications, including Basic Life Support and firearms training, and complete the FTO Program within the first 60 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Valid driver's license in the state of practice and clean DMV report
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)
- firearms training
- International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individual
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Ability to continuously walk the company property including outside areas, interior areas, using stairwells in 11 floor plus structure
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
