Job Summary
Conduct routine armed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, and access issues by notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed. Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors while verifying credentials, maintaining accurate logs, and following site-specific policies. Maintain a professional armed presence in compliance with laws, training requirements, and Allied Universal post orders. This part-time role includes flexible shifts in Miami, FL, with a starting rate of $18.00/hour. Applicants must hold a valid driver's license and an Armed Guard Card, with a background investigation and drug screen required prior to employment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located
- Armed Guard Card or license
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Valid driver's license for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton
- State, county, or city-issued security-related license
