Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas at an educational location, including campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeters, to deter unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and policy violations while documenting observations and communicating with site contacts or first responders. Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials at entry and exit points. Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors during arrival, dismissal, and special events. Maintain a visible presence to support the community and report concerns through appropriate channels.
Required Qualifications
- 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience
- college degree
- graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program
- equivalent to law enforcement or military police training
- 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience
- 1 or more years of law enforcement experience
- 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience
- 3 or more years of security-related experience
- Corrections Officer License
- at least 21 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- subject to a background investigation
- subject to a drug screen
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- valid driver's license
