Job Summary
Conduct routine armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter zones to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations by following established reporting and escalation procedures while providing customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. Monitor access points to verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and deliveries, then document all patrol observations and security activities accurately. Work part-time shifts including Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 PM to 06:00 AM at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Bastrop, TX. Requires an Armed Guard Card/License, at least three years of experience in military police, corrections, or armed security, and a background investigation.
Required Qualifications
- Have at least 3 years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, or armed security-related professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
