Job Summary
Conduct routine armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns at municipal government locations. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations following established protocols while maintaining a visible presence to safeguard clients. Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while documenting patrol activity, incidents, and interactions accurately. Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws and policies. Work part-time shifts including Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree
- Possess an armed guard card or license
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Possess a valid driver's license
