Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas at public transportation facilities, including offices, platforms, parking areas, and perimeters, to identify unusual activity and hazards. Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and assist visitors, employees, and the public with professionalism. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations with sound judgment, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel. Provide customer service to transit riders and site members while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. Work part-time shifts including Tue–Thu 2:00 PM–8:00 PM and Sun 1:00 PM–9:00 PM at a government location. Requires one year of armed security or law enforcement experience, a valid armed guard card, and a background investigation.
Required Qualifications
- Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience
- Have at least one year of security-related experience
- Possess an armed guard card or license
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
