Job Summary
Conduct routine armed patrols of business, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel. Monitor access points to verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors. Maintain required reports, incident documentation, and patrol activity records in accordance with site-specific procedures and applicable laws. Work a day shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at a financial institution in Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience
- Have at least 4 years of military or law enforcement experience or possess a criminal justice degree
- Provide a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred
- Loss prevention experience is preferred
