Job Summary
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by executing security procedures, site policies, and emergency responses at a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, including armed responses per applicable laws and training. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout facility entrances, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and assist with access control for visitors, staff, vendors, and contractors. Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, communicating relevant information to site leadership, law enforcement, and emergency responders as appropriate. This role requires a six-month fixed-shift commitment with the option to pick up additional shifts via the Smart Tools platform. Applicants must have at least one year of armed security or law enforcement experience, be at least 21 years old, and possess a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- An armed private investigator license is preferred
- Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred
