Job Summary
Conduct routine armed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, and critical infrastructure to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity. Monitor restricted area access, verify credentials, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by communicating observations and coordinating with site contacts or emergency responders. Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel while executing site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and observations. Work a day shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM in Jacksonville, FL, as a full-time role.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- An armed guard card or license is preferred
- Access control or badge experience is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
