Job Summary
Conduct routine armed patrols throughout retail locations including sales areas, parking zones, and perimeters while maintaining a visible presence to deter theft and unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations with professionalism, contacting law enforcement or medical personnel as needed. Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by executing security procedures and emergency response activities. Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations to site leadership. This part-time role in Austin, TX, includes a Tuesday and Wednesday shift from 2:45 PM to 11:30 PM at a rate of $26.50 per hour. Applicants must hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas and possess at least five years of armed security experience.
Required Qualifications
- Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
