Job Summary
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents in healthcare facilities. Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while responding to access-control needs and critical situations following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and facility perimeters. Verify visitor, contractor, and staff authorization; maintain access records and report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts. Work part-time shifts from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Possess an armed guard card or license and at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Required Qualifications
- Possess an armed guard card or license
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
