Job Summary
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry for patients, visitors, and staff, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents in healthcare facilities. Control access to restricted areas and designated entry points while responding to critical situations following established protocols. Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and facility perimeters, carrying out site-specific policies and emergency response activities. Maintain access records and report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts. Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to support the team.
Required Qualifications
- Possess an armed guard card or license
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
