Job Summary
Conduct routine patrols of assigned government sites to deter security incidents and enforce site-specific rules and directives. Respond to alarms and critical situations as a first responder, providing first aid when necessary and managing emergency response activities. Greet guests, escort visitors, secure ingress and egress points, and protect classified information while maintaining proficiency with protective equipment and weapons. Report safety concerns, breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication to clients and security personnel. Travel up to 40 miles from the State College, PA area for part-time shifts with an opportunity to advance to full-time roles.
Required Qualifications
- Act 235 Qualification
- PA Concealed Carry Weapons permit
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years combined of Armed Security / Law Enforcement / Armed Corrections or the equivalent
- Ability to Pass a Physical that includes: push-ups, sit-ups and a cardiovascular related stress test
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able and willing to travel up to 40 miles from the Greater State College, PA area
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- No unpaid, unsettled or disputed Federal Taxes or Federal Loans
