Job Summary
Conduct routine patrols of assigned government sites to deter incidents and enforce site rules while responding to security alarms and emergency situations. Provide customer service by greeting guests, escorting visitors, and securing ingress/egress points. Maintain proficiency with protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons as required for armed posts. Assess critical situations calmly and report safety concerns or breaches via written and verbal communication. Travel up to 40 miles from the Greater Selinsgrove, PA area for part-time shifts with an opportunity to advance to full-time roles.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able and willing to travel up to 40 miles from the Greater Selinsgrove, PA area
- Act 235 Qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania only
- Must have a PA Concealed Carry Weapons permit
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have 2+ years combined of Armed Security / Law Enforcement / Armed Corrections or the equivalent
- Must have the ability to Pass a Physical that includes: push-ups, sit-ups and a cardiovascular related stress test
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Any unpaid, unsettled or disputed Federal Taxes or Federal Loans WILL disqualify
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
